Access Academix was established in 1999 to provide Training, Teaching and Consulting services to tertiary and other teaching institutions and the corporate and industrial sectors in Victoria. This consultancy was established by Dr Geoff Crawford and is based on his six years experience as a Senior Lecturer in microbiology at Charles Sturt University, his thirteen years in biotechnology-based research (Virology, Vaccines, Serology & Diagnostics) and his ten years in Management (Quality, R&D, Pathology).

Dr Crawford’s experience is underpinned by strong academic qualifications; a BSc (Hons) in microbiology, a PhD in virology and Certificates in Small Business Management and Assessment and Workplace Training, and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management combined with membership of the Australian Society for Microbiology (MASM), the Australian Institute for Biology (MAIBiol) and an Associate Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM). Dr Crawford has also published in Australian and International Journals (15 major, 18 minor publications) and has attracted over $216,000 in research funding. He also publishes short articles and is currently researching a book.
